Pay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year

Position Title:Administrative Support Specialist
Constellation seeks an Administrative Support Specialist to join our Homeland Security team in Washington, DC. This role performs critical federal logistical and administrative functions in a NW DC office 5 days per week that align with federal guidelines and agency mission requirements. This role supports day-to-day administrative operations to ensure efficient personnel and program support. This position is responsible for providing administrative and operational support within the office, with a focus on filing, data entry, scheduling, and correspondence. This role also leads the managing program schedules and coordinate meetings using Microsoft Outlook and Teams, promptly resolving scheduling conflicts.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Regularly review SharePoint site to identify and implement necessary updates.
  • Draft and edit correspondence, briefs, and reports with discretion and tactful judgment.
  • Coordinate and assist with the movement of government assets, including office equipment, supplies, and materials.
  • Communicate with staff and departments to fulfill logistical and administrative needs.
  • Monitor supply levels and assist with ordering and restocking supplies as needed.
  • Provide calendar and meeting support, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and note taking for staff meetings and office projects.
  • Provide support for maintaining the organizational source requests utilizing a centralized tracker to meet operational needs.
  • Monitor and respond to routine inquiries via the shared email box or phone, escalating when necessary to the senior leadership.
  • Assist with logistics and coordination of internal training, workshops, tasker responses.
The ideal candidate must have the following experience, background, and credentials:
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a business/administrative support role.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and handle equipment responsibly.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resource Management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Power BI).
  • Be a U.S. citizen able to pass a background investigation by the client agency. DHS clearance with CBP or DoD Top-Secret preferred.
