The Department of Medicine is seeking an experienced Administrative Supervisor to provide leadership and oversight of administrative operations. This position will supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the administrative support team, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality service, and effective execution of departmental priorities.
The Administrative Supervisor will be responsible for managing highly complex and sensitive projects that require extensive collaboration with faculty, department leadership, and senior executives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to independently resolve operational challenges, streamline processes, and support strategic initiatives. This role serves as a key administrative partner within the department and is entrusted with significant decision-making authority within established policies and guidelines.
Annual range: $70,900-$145,200

Required:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior supervisory experience
- Advanced organizational and project management skills, including ability to work independently, determine appropriate priorities, and complete projects accurately, efficiently, and with a high level of attention to detail, despite competing deadlines.
- Analytical skills sufficient to interpret and apply University and campus policies; define problems; formulate logical conclusions, recognize alternatives.
- Strong written skills to prepare accurate, concise, and clear reports and documents.
- Advanced expertise using computer software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, database management and timekeeping software.
- Ability to use high-level discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality
Preferred:
- Strong demonstrated leadership, management, and supervisory skills to effectively train and guide staff at all levels, delegate tasks, set performance standards, and evaluate performance.
- Knowledge of academic and/or administrative structure of institutions of higher education.
