The primary duties and responsibilities as the Administrative Officer include but are not limited to:
-Lead in the planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of OASP administrative functions.
Supervises assigned OASP staff.
-Coordinate training and assists in the preparation of performance standards and evaluations of support staff.
-Provide final quality-control of documentation generated for or disseminated by OASP.
-Prepare relevant briefing memos, letters, background papers, and reports for the Assistant Secretary, etc.
-Represent OASP at meetings regarding human resources, technical, budget, performance management, and other administrative support, issues and activities.
-Apply a high level of expertise in technical writing and editing skills to provide quick reaction analyses and professional writing.

For GS-15: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-14 in the Federal Service.
Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
Qualifying specialized experience for Administrative Officer includes:
-Providing technical advice and guidance in administrative and management areas including budgetary and financial management, human resources, planning, evaluation, and administrative support services. AND
- Working in a role that provides customer/client services to organizational managers and supervisors.
EducationAt this grade level there is no education substitute for specialized experience.
