Full Job Description
The Department of Surgery is seeking an experienced Administrative Officer 3 to provide high-level executive and operational support within a nationally recognized, research-intensive academic department. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a trusted partner to Department Chiefs, faculty, and Division Business Partners by managing complex academic calendars, coordinating meetings and events, overseeing travel, purchasing, and reimbursements, preparing correspondence, and synthesizing reports and information to support departmental priorities. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the department's academic, clinical, research, and educational missions through strategic administrative support and operational leadership. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage complex projects while collaborating with faculty, administrative teams, and stakeholders across the organization. You will apply analytical expertise and knowledge of university policies and procedures to improve processes, support decision-making, and drive operational excellence in a dynamic academic healthcare environment. Annual range: $83,624.40-$127,263.60
