Pay Range: $159,279.00 - $215,027.00 per year

Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Minimum 7-10 years of perioperative experience in an academic or tertiary care setting
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in the operating room
  • Must complete a minimum of 8 hours per year of professional development focused on hospital-wide leadership issues
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient Computer Skills

Preferred:
  • Master's degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business (MSN, MHA, or MBA) is strongly preferred.

Certifications and Licenses Required:
  • National certification CNOR strongly preferred or obtained within one year of start.
  • Active New Jersey RN license (or ability to obtain)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association


Scheduling Requirements:
  • Day Shift, 40 hours
  • Full Time


Essential Functions:
  • Visionary leadership with a proven track record of managing surgical services in an organization that includes significant emergency volume, cardiac and trauma surgical services and robotics
  • Deep understanding of OR and SPD workflows, preference card standardization, and efficiency metrics
  • Experience and facile at SPM or similar tracking and reporting systems
  • Ability to lead change, foster a culture of accountability, and drive continuous quality improvement
  • Excellent communication and physician relationship-building skills
  • Expertise in leading teams through operational growth, new space activations, and surgical innovation adoption
  • Provides 24-hour accountability for patient care delivery
  • Ensures that quality nursing care is delivered to all patients on his/her nursing unit in accordance with the philosophy, policies, procedures and program plans of the hospital
  • Assists with the development of patient care standards, orientation and continuing education
  • Evaluates staff performance in accordance with organizational policies
  • Develops, implements and maintains a unit budget,
  • Participate in nursing quality assurance
  • Maintains unit administration including scheduling and maintaining supplies and equipment
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services
  • Promotes quality of patient care through the following: Develops or revises plan for patient care delivery in assigned areas; Identifies and corrects actual or potential problems; Recommends or selects appropriate indicators to measure performance; Implements and enforces the national patient safety goals; Communicates QA and PI findings as required.
