Full Job Description
An Administrative Clinical Research Programs Manager is currently available within the Beckman Research Institute. You will provide programmatic management for the development of assigned programs in solid tumor and its clinical and translational research operations. In additional, you will manage program membership as well as senior level committees and facilitates grants and clinical protocols funded by the Program. This position has a high level of autonomy which collaborates with contributors across the organization (research, administrative, medical, and support personnel) and is a key position in the Program. This position requires excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail, self-motivation and creativity and serves as a primary point of contact/information for the Program and outside constituents.

As a successful candidate, you will:
• Lead and oversee clinical research operations, serving as a liaison across Sponsored Research, Clinical Trials Office, IRB, and faculty.
• Manage and develop staff, including recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development.
• Foster a positive, collaborative team culture while aligning staffing plans and resources to meet program and patient care needs.
• Provide pre-award grant and proposal management, ensuring compliance, timely submissions, and coordination of all required approvals.
• Plan and facilitate research meetings, retreats, and educational program participation, ensuring follow-through on action items.
• Develop and manage program budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Track and report key program metrics (e.g., clinical trial accrual, grants, patient volume, quality outcomes) to leadership.
• Support strategic planning, program growth, and cross-functional initiatives, including partnerships with philanthropy and marketing to advance program visibility and funding.

Your qualifications should include:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in solid tumor clinical research administration can be substituted. Masters degree preferred.
• 5+ years progressively responsible for business management, project and program management within an academic or research environment including experience in budget development and management.
• 3 years of experience in a leadership capacity.
• Preferred 8+ years clinical research administration experience including managing pre-award process of grant and protocol proposals for multiple projects in the solid tumor area.
• Knowledge about federal grant application, processing and management is preferred.
