Full Job Description
Description

At Verily, we are seeking a highly capable Administrative Business Partner to provide strategic and operational support to our Chief Product Officer and 1-2 other senior leaders within the Product organization.

This role goes beyond traditional calendar management and requires a true strategic partner. We are looking for someone with a strong, confident professional presence-someone comfortable pushing back when necessary to protect our leaders' time and focus. You should be highly adaptable and capable of navigating ambiguous environments to drive results with minimal direction. Additionally, this role requires a tech-savvy approach; you must understand modern technology and Artificial Intelligence, and actively use these tools to streamline workflows and elevate the team's administrative operations.

This position is based in our San Bruno office, requiring a minimum of 3 full days per week on-site during regular business hours (with occasional availability required for after-hours team events or key meetings). You will manage complex calendaring, travel planning, and expense management, alongside coordinating leadership meetings with your peers and Executive Business Partners. You may be requested to document meeting action items and take ownership of specialized projects, utilizing your project management skills to ensure successful outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Support & Calendar Mastery: Act as a true strategic partner to the CPO and senior product leaders by mastering complex calendars, prioritizing critical internal/external meetings based on business goals, and flawlessly coordinating global travel and expenses.
  • Tech & AI Integration: Continuously revolutionize workflows by evaluating and leveraging modern technology and Artificial Intelligence to supercharge administrative efficiency and automate routine tasks across the organization.
  • Ambiguity Navigation & Project Management: Confidently navigate highly ambiguous, fast-paced environments to bring structure to chaos, taking proactive ownership of special projects and driving them to successful outcomes.
  • Confident Communication & Gatekeeping: Serve as the central, authoritative point of contact for the Product leadership team, employing a strong, confident voice and the willingness to push back to fiercely protect leaders' strategic priorities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Cultivate rock-solid partnerships with peers, Executive Business Partners, and external stakeholders (clients/vendors) to ensure seamless collaboration and information dissemination for leadership meetings and key events.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree (or equivalent practical experience) combined with 5+ years of direct executive/senior leadership support experience, ideally managing multiple leaders with diverse styles in a fast-paced tech environment.
  • Unwavering confidence and strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to hold your ground, push back strategically, and advocate effectively for your leaders' time and priorities.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a proven track record of thriving in highly ambiguous environments, adapting quickly to shifting priorities with minimal guidance.
  • Highly tech-savvy with a deep understanding of modern administrative tools and a demonstrated ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to optimize and "level up" operational workflows.
  • Expert-level experience in complex executive meeting coordination, acting as the primary, highly professional point of contact for critical internal and external stakeholders to facilitate business development.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Direct experience supporting senior leadership specifically within a fast-paced Product or Engineering organization.
  • Advanced proficiency and power-user status with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of process, project, and program management theory and practices, with the ability to confidently apply them to solve operational issues.
  • Hands-on experience implementing AI-driven administrative tools (e.g., AI meeting note-takers, advanced scheduling assistants, or workflow automations).
  • Proven track record of independently managing and executing team-wide offsites, events, or culture-building initiatives for leadership teams.
