Services include the planning, procurement, delivery, maintenance and training which support the business functions of City departments through technology. The Information Technology department's responsibilities include computer hardware systems, data and telecomm infrastructure, data management, information security, radio and wireless communications, software and applications, telephone and voice systems.
The PositionThe
Administrative Analyst provides staff assistance to the IT Department Director and IT management. This position supports management/supervisory staff with problem resolution; research and data compilation and report preparation; and researches and provides administrative solutions requiring knowledge of records management, forms control, systems and procedures analysis and statistical analysis. The
Administrative Analyst conducts studies and surveys; prepares written correspondence, agenda items, documents and presentation material; coordinates various programs and projects, overseeing implementation and administration; and is responsible for the department's purchasing including contract administration and routing and budget tracking. This position assists with departmental day-to-day operations such as RFPs, grant preparation, and personnel-related matters, and performs related duties as required.

QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES Education and ExperienceAny combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills would be acceptable. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be:
A Bachelor's Degree from a college or university in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field and at least one-year of related professional experience or 2 years of related college course work and 4 years of progressively responsible administrative or analytical experience.
Ideal CandidateSuccessful candidates will possess the following:
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and Visio) with the ability to create professional documents, analyze data, develop presentations, and manage business communications effectively;
- Experience monitoring, tracking, and analyzing operational trends to identify patterns, improve processes, support strategic decision-making, and enhance overall organizational performance;
- Strong research, analytical, and presentation skills;
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, stakeholders, and leadership at all levels of an organization;
- Experience assisting with procurement, budget planning, monitoring expenditures, and tracking financial performance;
- Demonstrated problem-solving and time-management abilities, with a proven track record of prioritizing competing responsibilities, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality results in fast-paced environments; and
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while exercising sound judgment, maintaining accountability, and consistently achieving organizational goals and project objectives.
