Position is for a support engineer / lead engineer within Camera component team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:- Engineer will be responsible for performance tests, environmental tests and collaborating with process partners are product alignment to core system goals
- Performance tests - executed either in lab or in the field behind building
- Environmental tests - executed in Caterpillar test facility or at a third party test facility in Chicago-land
- Test plan / test report creation - executed in office environment and reviewed with more senior engineers.
- Investigating and troubleshooting technical issues related to the camera components.
- Requirements development - gaining voice of process partners, lessons learned and documenting for review with senior engineers and with process partner
RequirementsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:- Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5-7 years' experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS:- Product experience - experience in the electronics development world, particularly with camera or ADAS sensor technologies and application of the technology
- Self-driven - work to help the team with your initiative
- Ability and willingness to be hands on.
- Ability to create test plans, conduct environmental and performance tests and create test reports of cameras or ADAS type sensors.
- Ability to troubleshoot and investigate technical issues utilizing computer aided tools, multi-meters and/or oscilloscopes at component or PCBA level.
- Ability and willingness to be hands on.
