Job Description Summary

Join the U.S. Breast Cancer DTC Marketing Strategy team and help shape high-impact marketing initiatives that support women living with early and metastatic breast cancer. This role offers the opportunity to deepen your expertise in consumer marketing, brand strategy, omnichannel execution, and creative excellence within one of the most competitive and dynamic oncology categories. Working alongside a high-performing team, you will drive meaningful patient and caregiver engagement while strengthening your strategic, operational, and cross-functional leadership capabilities.

This position will be based in East Hanover, NJ and will not have the ability to be located remotely. Please note that this role would not provide relocation, and only local candidates will be considered. This position will require 5% travel as defined by the business (domestic and/or international).


 

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute U.S. DTC marketing strategies and campaigns supporting women living with early and metastatic breast cancer.
  • Drive the growth and optimization of key consumer engagement channels, including social, digital, and paid media platforms.
  • Contribute to creative development and content strategy, helping deliver distinctive, emotionally resonant patient experiences.
  • Lead website content updates and enhancements across consumer-facing digital properties.
  • Support omnichannel campaign execution and performance optimization across paid, owned, and earned channels.
  • Manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Support planning and execution for key oncology milestones and events, including ASCO, SABCS, and Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
  • Partner with agency teams on briefs, creative development, review cycles, and deliverable management.
  • Contribute to budget planning, forecasting, and operational management to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners—including HCP Marketing, Content Lab, CXP&O, Patient Services, Communications, Medical, Legal, and Regulatory—to advance brand objectives and deliver a connected customer experience.

Essential Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience within marketing, omnichannel, brand strategy, communications, or related disciplines
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with internal systems, processes and platforms like FUSE, MER360 and MIST
  • Understanding of the rules and regulations that govern our industry, including direct to consumer marketing rules
  • Understanding of artificial intelligence and interest in learning more, finding ways to apply this medium to make us stronger as a team
  • Ability to work collaboratively, independently, communicate effectively, and navigate a fast-paced, highly regulated environment
  • Curiosity, creativity, and willingness to contribute ideas that elevate creative rigor and brand distinctiveness
  • Interest in oncology, patient behavior, and high-impact health communications

Novartis Compensation Summary:

The salary for this position is expected to range between $152,600 and $283,400 per year.

The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.

Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.

US-based eligible employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, life and disability benefits, a 401(k) with company contribution and match, and a variety of other benefits. In addition, employees are eligible for a generous time off package including vacation, personal days, holidays and other leaves.
