Qualifications

Full Job Description
Position Summary
The Pricing Actuary supports both growth and profitability targets of various MGUs as detailed below. This role is responsible for performing analysis across a diverse set of programs including both property and casualty coverages in a quick paced and entrepreneurial environment.

What will your job entail?

Job Responsibilities:
• Assist in portfolio remediation and the development of new programs
• Improve the effectiveness of existing pricing models, develop new models as required and work with UW teams to ensure understanding and buy-in.
• Communicate results and strategy to carrier partners.
• Assist in the compilation of portfolio-level statistics, with opportunities for dashboard development/maintenance.
• Assist in the evolution of rating tools.
• Perform vendor evaluations and seek ways to enhance efficiency, profitability and growth.

Work Experience and Education:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or another major with quantitative course work
• 5+ years actuarial experience or a Master's Degree with 3 + years of experience.
• P&C industry experience with a preference for Commercial Lines pricing experience.

Licenses & Certifications:
• ACAS or FCAS designation is strongly preferred; non-credentialed candidates may also apply and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Skills: Technical/Functional Skills:
  • Fluent with Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
  • Solid understanding of pricing principles
  • Familiarity with database tools - SQL/DataBricks
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools - R/Python
  • Familiarity with multivariate analysis and GLM development/maintenance

The target salary range for this position is $136,000.00 - $170,000.00 annually.

The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
