Full Job Description
This position is for an existing vacancy. The Actuarial Associate, Capital will be responsible for conducting a wide range of actuarial tasks within ivari's Corporate Actuarial Department. This includes supporting LICAT reporting, FCT (financial condition testing), actuarial inputs to risk sensitivities, regulatory capital initiatives, capital management, actuarial valuation of liabilities, analysis of drivers of earnings, experience studies, business forecasts, and sensitivity / shock testing. In this role you will: • Support quarterly LICAT regulatory capital reporting including consolidation, analysis of the results, preparation of regulatory filing and management reporting • Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis to assess financial impacts of business and economic changes, including Capital-at-Risk, Financial Condition Testing (FCT), and enterprise-wide stress testing • Participate in ad hoc projects such as supporting quantitative impact studies for regulatory capital changes and performing capital analysis for potential investment transactions • Contribute to the development and maintenance of actuarial models for the segregated fund product, including experience studies and assumption reviews • Assist in preparing reports and presentations for management review • Develop a strong understanding of accounting and capital frameworks including IFRS 17 and LICAT 2025 • Build subject matter expertise in valuation, capital, and key business drivers • Support initiatives to streamline and enhance valuation and capital infrastructure • Communicate clearly and effectively with the team members and manager What we pay...
