Title:

Action Officer, Senior

This is a contingent position based upon contract award

KBR is seeking an Action Officer (Intermediate) to provide Director's Action Group (DAG) support in accordance with established organization/office policies, regulations, and procedures in Chantilly, VA.

The Action Officer directs and oversees the receipt, tasking, tracking and closure of all internal and external tasks. The Action Officer manages the action tracking system. The Action Officer establishes and maintains effective working relationships with customers and other stakeholders of the Directorate/Office both internally and externally.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform and maintain DAG support functions to include recognition programs, training, security
  • Manage Customer Tracking Information and Enterprise Response (TIER) actions for supported office:
  • Manage Customer correspondence handbook.
  • Analyze and assign or perform actions as appropriate
  • Coordinate responses and assess for accuracy prior to senior management review
  • Manage and execute the action tracking process; develop standard operating procedures- and serve as facilitator for user requirements
  • Monitor progress on actions, generate metrics to demonstrate accountability for meeting deadlines and quality expectations; prepare periodic reports on action status and keep leadership aware of late, pending and new actions
  • Disseminate policy and legislative changes to appropriate parties internal to the Customer
  • Draft, proofread, edit and provide final review of internal and external correspondence
  • Coordinate and maintain presentations for audiences up to the Customer level; maintain a quality control process for all presentations
  • Participate in and lead DAG related meetings
  • Participate in internal committees, Integrated Process Teams (IPT), working groups and task forces
  • Manage records generated during the execution of the Directorates' projects and programs in accordance with Federal laws and regulations, as well as Customer Directives and Instructions.
  • Assist with the delivery of various courses. Including TIER, Action Officer, and Customer Correspondence courses.
  • Lead, develop and streamline DAG support functions
  • Identify internal and external issues that may impact the Customer and take appropriate action as approved
  • Manage Tracking Information and Enterprise Response (TIER) actions for supported office
  • Manage Customer correspondence handbook
  • Draft, consolidate, coordinate, and edit executive-level documentation to ensure consistency with organizational strategic objectives; apply an in-depth knowledge and understanding of DoD/IC issues, policies, programs and procedures affecting the Customer
  • Analyze and capture metrics on task execution, make recommendations on process improvements and strategic efficiencies
  • Make recommendations and prepare briefings, point papers and other materials based on analysis of complex policy issues and documents
  • Participate in external committees, IPT, working groups and task forces
  • Ensure critical information is disseminated to internal and external agencies and mission partner offices
  • Lead and manage TIER actions: assign to the appropriate division or branches, follow-up and provide status reports, coordinate responses in a non-conflicted manner for senior management review.
  • Lead and participate at NRO-wide TIER Meetings
  • Lead, update, and deliver various training courses, including TIER, Action Officer, and Correspondence courses

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with adjudicated polygraph.
  • Bachelor's Degree in technical or Business-related field (Advanced Degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience within IC or DoD
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: federal acquisitions, Department of Defense (DoD) or the /Intelligence Community (IC) budget & finance processes, and National Security policy
  • Demonstrated experience in systems engineering or project/program management or both
  • Demonstrated experience working with senior executives at multiple organizational levels
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office and standard computer applications
  • Demonstrated experience adapting to a rapidly changing work environment while maintaining flexibility and versatility
  • Demonstrated experience fostering solid relationships that promote cooperation and communicate expectations
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing situations and make well informed decisions
  • Demonstrated experience communicating effectively and concisely using a variety of styles and techniques appropriate to the audience
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring, delivering one-on-one training, or facilitating training courses.
  • Multiple years of demonstrated experience with TIER.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring, delivering one-on-one training, and leading or facilitating Training courses.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing situations and make well informed decisions
  • Demonstrated experience communicating effectively and concisely using a variety of styles and techniques appropriate to the audience
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring, delivering one-on-one training, or facilitating training courses.

Basic Compensation:

$150,300 - $183,600 (This range is for Virginia Only)

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:
