Overview
Tecolote Research Inc. is seeking candidates for the role of Space Systems Command (SSC) Command Awards and Recognition analyst to directly support SSC’s Awards program encompassing all SSC organizations, SLDs, and GSUs.
Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting, processing, submitting, monitoring, reviewing, and correcting military and civilian award and decoration staff packages submitted by Space Systems Command organizations in accordance with applicable instructions and prepare them for senior leader review
- Provide weekly status briefings regarding the awards program, including timeliness statistics
- Continually evaluate the awards and decorations processes and with approval from the Government, develop guidance and incorporate process improvement initiatives to improve the timeliness, efficiency, and accuracy of the process; providing training to appropriate stakeholders as required
Skills Required
- Years of Experience: 3-5 years of combined industry and federal government experience (such as DoD/NASA/NRO employee or SETA/FFRDC supporting federal government acquisition)
- Experience with United States Air Force (USAF), United States Space Force (USSF), and/or Space Systems Command (SSC) chain of command
- Proficient utilization of Task Management Tool (TMT) / Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Must effectively communicate both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical and administrative accuracy in a professional manner
- Interest and ability to work in a dynamic work environment
- Must be able perform all duties independently
- U.S. citizenship required
- Active Secret security clearance required
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- Salary Range: $70,000 - $100,000
Education
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
