Full Job Description
The Air Force Civilian Service is looking for a Full-Time Acquisition Program Management Specialist (GG-1101-13) to work for Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) at JBSA-Lackland, San Antonio, TX.
DUTIES:
In this position you will serve as an Acquisition Program Manager within the HNCX (Platform One) Branch and will be responsible for supporting continuous delivery of war-winning software by creatively navigating and leveraging the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD. You will provide services, subscriptions and overall recommendations for contracting and funding strategy to support users' needs, measurable business outcomes, and technical feasibility.
Salary: $108,001 - $140,403
Work Mode: No telework or remote work
Travel: Up to 25%

This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position aligned under authorities of Section 1601, Chapter 83 of Title 10, United States Code and DoD Instruction 1400.25-V2007.
QUALIFICATIONS:
U.S. Citizenship required.
Obtain & maintain Top Secret Security Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
This is designated as a Drug Test Position.
DAWIA Certification.
Financial Management Statement required.
Criteria in which applications will be evaluated:
Program Management & Oversight: Proven ability to effectively organize and oversee critical aspects of equipment development and production, including task management, team coordination, and resource allocation.
Acquisition Compliance & Information Security: Demonstrated understanding of acquisition regulations, guidelines, and security protocols for safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring program integrity.
Contract & Technical Evaluation: Comprehensive knowledge of business operations, contract principles, and technical specifications to thoroughly review contractor proposals, monitor performance, and ensure compliance.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Knowledge of laws, principles, policies, and practices of systems Acquisition and Program Management; and of security policies and practices in order to protect classified and sensitive information.
Knowledge of business, industrial management, contracting procedures, technical concepts, and production practices to evaluate contractor proposals and activities; and applicable safety practices for the work environment of this position.
Knowledge of the missions, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the Department of the Defense, Air Force, and other entities that govern, interface with, and/or influence the systems acquisition process and integrated life cycle management.
Skill to establish and maintain good relationships with individuals and groups within the office as well as outside the immediate work unit.
Ability to plan, organize, and manage critical aspects of research, development, production, and support of subsystems or equipment, and integrate, analyze, and manage a variety of acquisition functions, and personnel in support of the process.
