OverviewLMI is seeking a skilled Acquisition Policy Specialist to support our custimer in Alexandria, VA. Successful candidates demonstrate competency in critical thinking, relationship management, and adaptability while upholding the highest standard of ethical behavior.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities may include:
- Perform statutory and regulatory research and complex administrative support functions.
- Research history of current rulemaking cases and origin of procurement regulations.
- Research the impact of current and prospective information collection requirements on the public in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act. Track requirements and manage data in government information systems.
- Prepare and proofread formal staffed packages.
- Attend and participate in meetings, take meeting notes, record taskers and actions, and update the staff when necessary.
- Prepare briefings as appropriate.
- Manage multiple assignments from multiple people in busy work environment.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:- This position requires an active security clearance at the Secret level. You must be a US citizen.
- Bachelor's degree or above
- At least 10 years of work experience, preferably with or supporting DoD or other federal agency
- Strong researcher with knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (title 48 Code of Federal Regulations, chapters 1 and 2)
- Experience as a contracting officer or contracts specialist highly desired
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Expereince using SharePoint is preferred
- Self-directed, detail-oriented in completing assigned tasks, able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage impact of shifting priorities
Target salary range: $90,620 - $135,754
