OverviewR&P is looking for a Shipbuiding Acquisition / Contracts Analyst who wants to join our team supporting PMS 410. We are a mid-sized defense contractor providing Business Financial Management, Acquisition, Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We need a motivated and detail-oriented analyst ready to join a fast-paced and exciting program to assist the Navy in constructing the newest class of Frigate.
Responsibilities
- Provide general acquisition and contracts management support.
- Provide analysis, tracking, and reconciliation support for shipbuilding contracts; including TIs, modifications, and CDRLs.
- Provide administrative support in reconciliation and analysis of contractor invoices
- Create procurement requests in the Navy's acquisition management system in accordance with programmatic plans
- Assists program office with providing detail-oriented management of records, business research analysis, and valuation strategies.
- Provides support on procurement policies, regulations, and procedures that result in cost savings for the Government.
- Assist in the preparation of program/portfolio review documentation and other reoccurring meetings/briefs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years relevant experience in shipbuilding program/contract management
- Experience in DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process) and U.S. Navy programs or operations.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint environments.
- Experience developing SES and Flag level briefs
- Experience with DoD contracts (desired)
- Active Secret clearance
