OverviewR&P is looking for a senior-level Shipbuiding Acquisition and Program Management Analyst who wants to join our team supporting PMS 410. We are a mid-sized defense contractor providing Business Financial Management, Acquisition, Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We need a motivated and detail-oriented analyst ready to join a fast-paced and exciting program to assist the Navy in constructing the newest class of Frigate.
Responsibilities
- Assist with all facets of program acquisition reporting; including Acquisition Program Baseline (APB) updates, Defense Acquisition Executive Summary Reports (DAES), Selected Acquisition Report (SAR), Government Accountability Office (GAO) Assessments, GAO Budget Justification Reviews, and DoN Gate reviews.
- Leverage experience and proficiency in Department of Defense and Department of Navy acquisition regulations and requirements (i.e. DoD 5000 and DoN 5000) to support program acquisition planning and execution.
- Assist in the development of program acquisition strategies and in developing required plans, concept papers, white papers, and senior level briefings.
- Provide support for associated action and milestone planning and tracking, project planning and progress, program metrics establishment and tracking, and active participation in designated meetings and milestone reviews.
- Assists program office with providing detail-oriented management of records, business research analysis, and valuation strategies.
- Provides support on procurement policies, regulations, and procedures that result in cost savings for the Government.
- Assist in the preparation of program/portfolio review documentation and other recurring meetings/briefs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 10+ years relevant experience in shipbuilding acquisition / program management
- Experience in DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process) and U.S. Navy programs or operations.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience developing SES and Flag level briefs
- Experience with DoD contracts
- Active Secret clearance
