Full Job Description
The Accounts Payable Manager, under the general direction of the Assistant Controller, will supervise the Accounts Payable staff and will be responsible for delivering a high level of customer service to suppliers, vendors and employees. This position has the option be located in the Bellevue, Sumner, or Vancouver, WA office, or the Boise, ID office.

Salary range: $75,000 - $110,000 (DOE)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:

  • Manages the Accounts Payable team to deliver a high level of customer service to suppliers, vendors and employees.
  • Oversees weekly check runs and EFT payment reconciliation process for multiple companies.
  • Ensures accuracy of coding in compliance with company general ledger chart of accounts.
  • Ensures timely payment according to vendor terms.
  • Participates in month-end closing process, including review of preliminary P&L.
  • Prepares A/P year end audit schedules.
  • Prepares annual 1099 tax forms and submits unclaimed property filings.
  • Recommends procedures and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
  • Provides accounting assistance to staff, responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs.
  • Acts as liaison between the company and external parties to meet information needs and to ensure that proper historical information is maintained.
  • Selects and hires employees for AP accounting group. Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance and development. Addresses any performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions.
  • Performs other duties and works on projects as assigned by Assistant Controller or Controller.

  • BS or BA in Accounting or Finance or significant work history
  • 5+ years of experience with a medium-sized to large corporation managing the accounts payable function, including supervision of staff.
  • Great Plains, MediusFlow and Encompass experience preferred but not required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), and 10-key.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Must be detail oriented, with problem solving ability, and strong organization skills.
