The Accounting Manager reports to the Company ControllerThe Accounting Manager position is responsible for managing the general accounting function. Oversee the completion of ledger accounts and financial statements. Supervision of A/R and A/P. Evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization.

What do we want to know about you?
• Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) or equivalent with four to ten years related experience in a highly diverse manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of four years supervisory role in a lean accounting department, preferable of A/R and A/P functions.
• Experience with fully integrated ERP systems - Oracle R12 (or similar software), including Essbase and Hyperion Financial Management reporting systems.
• Experience collaborating with suppliers on capacity, process improvement, and delivery recovery activities.
• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment; participation in kaizens and value stream mapping exercises.
• Strong Microsoft Office computer skills - Advanced Excel (Pivot tables, Power Pivot, Power Query, VLOOKUP, Macros, etc), Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.

What will your typical day look like?
• Responsible for General Accounting function and the supervision and mentoring of A/R, Billing and A/P.
• Directs the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable/payable, revenue recognition/distribution, and fixed asset and depreciation, records.
• Supervises and participates in the month-end close process and preparation of various financial reports (structured and/or ad hoc), financial statements, and corporate reporting packages.
• Perform analytical reviews of financial reports and KPI's to identify trends and develop appropriate responses as required. Prepare analyses as appropriate (lease vs buy, financial justifications utilizing discounted cash flows, etc.) statements with management personnel.
• Assists in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, procedures and work instructions relating to financial management, accounting, payroll and budgeting within a manufacturing environment.
• Implementing process and automation improvements to reduce reconciliation efforts and cross train with other positions within the department.
