Accounting Manager
The
Accounting Manager oversees the organization's day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with financial reporting standards. This role will report directly to the Controller and oversee a small accounting team offshore to assist with monthly close and AP duties. The Accounting Manager will be a key partner to Finance leadership in driving consistency, operational efficiency, and sound financial decision-making.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Oversee general accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Manage and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes in partnership with Finance leadership.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and other third parties.
- Maintain and improve accounting systems, processes, and documentation.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
- Partner cross-functionally with departments such as human resources, operations, and the commercial teams on financial matters.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Exemplify the ability to multitask and thrive in an agile, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
- Possess proficient verbal and written communication skills, while willing to share and receive information and ideas from all levels of the organization to achieve the desired results.

- Preferred Additional Experience:
- Implementation of ERP systems (NetSuite a plus).
- Healthcare industry experience (Life sciences, diagnostics, medical device)
- Revenue recognition in a lab billing environment.
SCHEDULEThis is a salaried position, requiring at least 40 hours per week. There may be projects that require activities beyond the standard hours.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS- Base salary range: $120,000-140,000/annually, determined based on the candidate's experience, knowledge, and abilities.
