Accounting ManagerWe are seeking an Accounting Manager to join Talos' fast-growing, tech-focused Financial Operations team. This role will play a key part in supporting global accounting operations, financial reporting, and strategic finance initiatives. The position is hands-on and suited to someone who views accounting as a strategic business partner, contributing to scalability, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration in a digital assets environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements
- Own and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including ledger entries and reconciliations
- Oversee Accounts Payable, including management of outsourced providers
- Research and apply technical accounting standards (e.g. ASC 606, ASC 350, ASC 718)
- Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Collaborate with external advisors on tax, compliance, and technical accounting matters
- Manage tax filings and corporate reporting in coordination with external firms
- Coordinate audits across multiple jurisdictions and manage auditor relationships
- Drive improvements in accounting processes, systems, and internal controls (including SOX/COSO where applicable)
- Produce periodic and ad hoc financial reporting
- Support treasury activities including cash flow forecasting
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA required
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting/PCAOB experience preferred
- Experience in SaaS, software, or financial services environments preferred
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (US GAAP; IFRS a plus)
- Experience with internal controls frameworks (COSO, SOX) preferred
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and project management skills
- Proactive, self-directed, and able to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g. Sage Intacct) preferred
