JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Accounting Manager

Group: Finance

Location: South Florida, USA

About the Role

This is a hands-on role at the center of a growing multi-entity finance organization. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will own the day-to-day accounting operation and the monthly close across our U.S. and UK entities, while helping build the processes, controls, and systems the company will run on as it scales. You will work directly with the Controller and CFO and have real influence over how the accounting function is designed.

What You'll Do
  • Manage and oversee all general ledger activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, accruals, and prepaid expenses
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition for subscription-based and multi-element contracts
  • Perform multi-entity consolidation, including intercompany eliminations and foreign currency remeasurement and translation under ASC 830
  • Maintain accounting for leases under ASC 842 and stock-based compensation under ASC 718
  • Oversee accounting for the UK subsidiary, including FRS 102 statutory reporting, local compliance, and coordination with external UK accountants and tax advisors
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules
  • Support preparation of consolidated financial statements and own audit-ready schedules for the annual financial statement audit and tax compliance
  • Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and documented close procedures
  • Drive optimization and automation of accounting workflows within NetSuite and connected systems
  • Apply AI tools to reduce manual effort across the close, from reconciliation support and anomaly detection to schedule preparation and process documentation, while maintaining the review and controls that keep the output audit-ready
  • Review the work of, mentor, and develop junior accounting staff

What You'll Need

Essential:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA strongly preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a SaaS, technology, or public accounting environment
  • Strong working knowledge of the U.S. GAAP, with demonstrated experience applying ASC 606 revenue recognition
  • Hands-on experience with multi-entity consolidations and intercompany eliminations
  • Experience accounting for foreign currency in a multi-currency environment (ASC 830)
  • Hands-on NetSuite experience, including comfort configuring reports, saved searches, and close workflows
  • Experience supporting an annual financial statement audit as a primary preparer or reviewer
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to process improvement and accuracy

Preferred:
  • Active CPA license
  • Experience with UK statutory reporting under FRS 102 and UK tax compliance
  • Working familiarity with ASC 842 lease accounting and ASC 718 stock-based compensation
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools in a finance or accounting workflow, with sound judgment about where automated output still requires human review
  • Experience in a venture-backed startup building or scaling an accounting function
  • Experience with AP automation, expense management, and sales tax compliance tools

What We'll Offer
  • Competitive Salary
  • Performance Bonus
  • Competitive health benefits
  • Life Insurance
  • Equity Plan
  • 401(k) with 100% match up to 4.0% after one year of service
