Summary of Position:The Accounting Manager provides leadership and oversight of the US and International Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions. Additionally provides support and expertise to the General Ledger accounting team. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial statement analysis.
Responsibilities:- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams
- Support General Ledger and FP&A teams with month-end close activities, ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of financial transactions and reporting.
- Preparation and/or review of monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
- Assist with preparation and approval of journal entries, account reconciliations, and complex accounting transactions.
- Lead accounting research on complex financial reporting issues and evolving standards.
- Participate in financial statement variance analysis and review
- Partner with external auditors to manage the annual audit and coordinate compliance audits.
- Lead strategic process improvement initiatives within the department to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Select, train, mentor, and manage a team of accounting professionals; set objectives, conduct performance reviews, and support professional development.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with company leadership to align financial activities with broader organizational goals.
- Support additional projects and ad hoc financial analyses as requested by leadership.
Qualifications:- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA designation is preferred
- 5+ years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, with a minimum of 2 years in a management role
- Strong understanding of GAAP regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting softwares
Relationships:- Reports to the Controller
- Manage AR and AP teams
- Works closely with finance leadership
