We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our Peterborough office.
Role (Overview of the Position):
- Manage a portfolio of corporate clients as their key contact, taking ownership of client onboarding and correspondence.
- Lead a team of senior preparers, organizing workflow and allocation of year-end letters and re-engagement initiatives as required.
- Review of year-end files (corporation, partnership, sole proprietorship) prepared by team in the Accounting department, including:
- Client service activities and special projects as they relate to the Accounting department; including exploring additional opportunities with existing clients to further growth.
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
- Collect and analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
- Supporting team members with guidance on file completion and obstacles in the way of meeting output objectives.
- Participate in performance feedback for team members including semi-annual performance reviews.
Qualifications/Skills & Experience:
- CPA designation or equivalent hands-on public practice experience in preparing and completing accounting, corporate tax, and personal tax files for small to mid-sized clients.
- File review experience in a public practice setting;
- Solid knowledge of corporation tax;
- Solid knowledge of personal tax;
- Solid knowledge of accounting & GAAP;
- Confidence in leading client meetings, dealing with client concerns and issue resolution.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills for client and team interaction.
- IT skills - Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Caseware, Profile, TaxPrep, Jazz-It;

Compensation: This position offers a starting salary range of $80,000 to $110,000 per year. Final compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's education, relevant experience, and skills.
