Accounting Manager

Location: High Point, NC

Hours: Monday - Friday/ 8am-5pm

Job Type: Exempt

Direct Reports: Finance team of 5

Report To: Director of Finance

JOB SUMMARY

Pella Carolina, Inc is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team. The Accounting Manager will be a pivotal team member with preparing A/P, A/R, collecting and month end closure. General Ledger entries by maintaining records and files as well as reconciling accounts. Answers accounting and relevant analysis to management as needed. Assists with budgeting, forecasting, audit work papers preparation, and supports special projects. Perform other duties as necessary to ensure the department is meeting demands and growing efficiency. Reports to the Director of Finance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Always exhibits the highest standard of personal ethics and adheres to all Pella Carolina policies.
• Promote a culture of safety and accountability by adhering to established protocols, proactively identifying potential risks, and fostering a workplace environment where safety is a shared priority.
• Prepare regular reports on reconciliation status and outcomes.
• Ensure discrepancies or variances are identified, investigated and resolved promptly.
• Lead and coach direct report by providing guidance, support and training in keeping with the company culture.
• Research and resolve customer payment and billing issues as needed.
• Analyze reconciliation data to identify trends, root causes of discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or related fields. MBA a plus but not necessary.
• Minimum 5+ years working experience in a general accounting role.
• Minimum of 3+ years of management of direct reports and or indirect leadership experience coaching and motivating in a professional environment.
• Excellent communication skills; written, verbal and good listening.
• Advanced skills with Excel- Pivot tables, V-lookups, etc. SQL experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to details and a tenacity to solve problems are important to success in this role.
• Ability to perform accurate work in a timely manner following established policies.
• Must be able to multi-task in a changing environment where priorities vary at times.
• Experience with Microsoft suit (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point).
• Experience with Accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite or Sage. Great Plains experience is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize multiple competing priorities with a finite deadline.
