Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow the finance team

  • Perform bank and balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Manage inventory and capital asset accounting

  • Prepare month-end financial statements and variance analysis
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Prepare audit working papers
  • Prepare and file monthly GST returns
  • Coordinate annual insurance renewal
  • Support customer collections and payment follow-up

Full Job Description
Accounting Manager

KLS Earthworks Inc. is looking for a highly motivated Accounting Manager to help strengthen our finance function and support the business through its next stage of growth. The Controller will own day-to-day accounting operations and deliver the financial insight that supports business decisions across the company. You'll work closely with the CFO and executive leadership team, with direct mentorship and a clear path for professional growth.

What You'll Do:

Accounting Operations
  • Lead, mentor and grow the finance team
  • Manage full-cycle accounting, including month-end closing
  • Oversee project revenue and cost accounting, including accruals and analysis
  • Review, approval, and posting accounts payable batches
  • Perform bank and balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Manage inventory and capital asset accounting
  • Provide payroll back-up support, including daily timesheet posting and bi-weekly payroll processing.


Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare month-end financial statements and variance analysis
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Provide financial analysis to support operations
  • Prepare audit working papers.


Compliance & Administration

  • Prepare and file monthly GST returns
  • Coordinate annual insurance renewal
  • Support customer collections and payment follow-up
  • Lead or contribute to special projects as required.
