Job Summary
The Accounting Governance Manager of AI & Accounting leads the financial integrity of artificial intelligence initiatives for accounting. The primary mission is to ensure that all AI applications impacting externally filed financial statements produce complete, accurate, and compliant data. Additionally, this position directs project management efforts for AI governance rollouts, ensuring cross-functional technical and financial milestones are achieved on schedule.

Key Accountabilities
• Drive execution of complex financial tasks and responsible for reviewing team deliverables
• Selects, develops, motivates and coaches a highly skilled and technical staff to ensure high productivity and quality of work
• Provides support to other departments as a subject matter expert
• Provides technical expertise to support maintenance and improvements of internal systems
• Monitor Compliance: Track evolving GAAP, SEC, and AI-specific regulatory frameworks.

Role Specific Accountabilities:

Partner on Data Integrity: Collaborate with technical teams and data owners to enforce data completeness and accuracy across AI-driven financial pipelines.

Enforce SOX Lineage Foundations: Validate that data products feeding AI models adhere to robust accounting SOX controls.

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, MBA preferred
Experience:
• 5+ years in Accounting or other Finance field
• Experience preferred in the Energy industry
• 2+ years experience as a Manager / Supervisor
Skills:
• CPA preferred
• Experience with accounting and/or reporting systems
• Strong leadership, problem solving and communication skills
