Position Overview seeking an ambitious and high-performing Accounting Manager to join our growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who wants to work directly alongside the Controller and develop into a Controller or Junior Controller role over the next several years.
The ideal candidate is eager to take ownership, continuously improve processes, and grow within a fast-paced organization.
Key Responsibilities - Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Coordinate and support annual external audits and other compliance requirements.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
- Partner with leadership on financial analysis and strategic initiatives.
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff as the department grows.
- Work closely with the Controller on day-to-day accounting operations and special projects, preparing for increased leadership responsibilities.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Prior experience supporting or leading external audits.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, hands-on environment.
- CPA designation is a plus.
- Public accounting or Big Four experience is preferred but not required.
