  • Handle union accounting tasks, including reporting and payroll coordination
  • Assist with lien releases and comprehensive project documentation
  • Complete pre-qualification packages for customers and projects
  • Support financial budgeting and forecasting initiatives
  • Maintain banking relationships, reporting on lines of credit and ensuring covenant compliance
  • Assist with HR-related accounting functions such as medical and pension plans
  • Act as the financial lead in the office, supporting executive leadership

Accounting Manager - Construction

Berkeley, CA (Onsite)

$140,000-$160,000 base DOE + bonus potential

Our client, a 4th-generation family-owned and operated subcontractor construction company, is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to lead accounting and financial operations. This is a high-visibility, onsite role ideal for an Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant ready to step into an Accouting Manager position.

What You'll Do
  • Lead full-cycle accounting, month-end and year-end close
  • Prepare financial statements and management reports
  • Manage WIP, job costing, and percentage-of-completion accounting
  • Oversee cost accounting and project financials
  • Handle union accounting, reporting, and payroll coordination
  • Assist with lien releases and project documentation
  • Complete customer and project pre-qualification packages
  • Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
  • Manage banking relationships, including line of credit reporting and covenant compliance
  • Support HR-related accounting functions (medical insurance, pension programs)
  • Serve as the financial lead for the office, supporting ownership and leadership
