Applicants must be based in Denver or willing to relocate to Denver to work from the Denver office a minimum of three days a week. Western Union will not assist with relocation costs for this position.Role Responsibilities - Manages the planning and direction of departmental activities related to general accounting functions and preparation of reports and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances, and other financial results.
- Specifically responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of the ledger accounts and financial statements in compliance with Company and GAAP standards.
- Formulates and directs the administration of approved accounting practices.
- Oversee the efficient operation and cost-effectiveness of operating systems and programs supporting the Finance organization.
- May participate in accounting projects.
- Responsible for managing people; hiring, performance reviews and compensation decisions.
- Perform all duties inherent in a managerial role.
- Overseeing Opex and Capex accounting related to IT processes
- Overseeing Prepaid accounting
- Managing Blackline account reconciliation access and assignments
- Month end Balance sheet review reporting
- Partnering with various corporate and business departments
Role Requirements- Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years' financial accounting experience required.
- 2-5 years leadership experience required.
- CPA preferred.
SalaryThe base salary range is $125,000.00 - 130,000.00 USD per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary plus annual incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies.
