Accounting ManagerPosition OverviewThe Accounting Manager is responsible for providing leadership and oversight of both U.S. and international Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions while supporting the General Ledger (GL) accounting team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of financial operations, reporting, and statement preparation.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership experience, and a proven ability to drive process improvements across accounting functions. This individual will partner closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to support strategic business objectives and financial excellence.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting Operations & Financial Reporting- Oversee daily Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations across U.S. and international entities.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes in partnership with the General Ledger and FP&A teams.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and complex accounting transactions.
- Conduct accounting research related to GAAP, financial reporting requirements, and international accounting considerations.
- Perform financial statement and variance analysis, providing actionable insights to finance leadership.
Audit & Compliance- Partner with external auditors and coordinate annual financial audits and compliance reviews.
- Ensure accounting activities and financial transactions remain accurate, compliant, and properly documented.
- Maintain strong internal controls and support regulatory compliance initiatives.
Leadership & Team Development- Lead, mentor, and develop Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams.
- Establish team goals, conduct performance evaluations, and support professional development initiatives.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance accounting environment focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
Process Improvement & Strategic Support- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across accounting functions.
- Collaborate with finance leadership and business partners to align financial operations with organizational goals.
- Support special projects, ad hoc reporting, and strategic financial analyses as needed.
Required QualificationsEducation- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience- 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.
- 2+ years of people management or accounting leadership experience.
- Experience managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions within a corporate environment.
- Strong experience with financial statement preparation, month-end close, and account reconciliation processes.
Technical Skills- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, accounting principles, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and complex accounting transactions.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including financial analysis and variance reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Professional Skills- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications- CPA designation preferred.
- Experience with international accounting and global AP/AR operations.

- Experience supporting external audits and compliance audits.
- Demonstrated success leading accounting process improvement initiatives.
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and employee development experience.
- Experience working within a corporate headquarters or large-scale business environment.
