Associated Bank is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of our general ledger and financial close processes. This role plays a critical part in delivering accurate financial results, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting regulatory and SEC reporting requirements. You'll have the opportunity to lead a talented team while driving process improvements and automation initiatives that enhance efficiency across Finance.

Key Accountabilities- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Manage the integrity of the general ledger, chart of accounts, cost center structures, and related financial data.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SOX requirements, and internal control standards.
- Oversee journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet governance activities.
- Partner with Financial Reporting, FP&A, Finance Technology, and business leaders to support reporting and operational objectives.
- Support SEC filings, regulatory reporting, consolidation activities, and audit readiness efforts.
- Develop, coach, and mentor a team of accounting professionals to drive performance and accountability.
- Drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives across accounting and close processes.
Education & ExperienceRequired- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4+ years of accounting and/or finance experience.
- 3+ years of experience within the financial services industry.
- 1+ years of leadership experience.
- 1+ years of experience with SOX controls.
Preferred- 1+ years of experience owning month-end close and general ledger processes.
- 3+ years of public accounting experience.
- 1+ years of experience using Workday ERP.

$94,360.00 - $161,760.00 per year
