Accounting Manager

Compensation Range: $106,028 - $156,000

About the role

Manageand report all accounting activities of AAK USA LV (K1, K2 and Realco). Thisposition needs to be able to ensure that all accounting activities aredelivered to management timely, accurately and in compliance with US GAAP. Thisposition plays a crucial role reporting cost and inventory analysis as well asfollowing the receipts and movement of our crude oils.

Responsibilities

Safety& Environmental Performance
Adhere to GMP when in the plants.
Identify high-risk safety/ productivity issues and help remedy them.

WorkRequirements
Prepare monthly financial reports to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.
Ensure that financial reports comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
Provide proper reconciliation of all Balance sheet accounts.
Oversee Accounting operations, which include financial accounting, inventory management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, intercompany transactions, cost analysis and payroll.
Maintain the general ledger.
Code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close the monthly books.
Establish internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
Present recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
Review budget reports and assist other departments to prepare annual budgets.
Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
Provide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
Identify and recommend updates to accounting processes and procedures.
Monitor material expenses for accuracy as recorded by Purchasing into ERP accounting system and post entries.
Oversee and maintain inventory, sales items, and General Ledger (G/L) accounts in ERP.
Develop/utilize various M-E inventory evaluation schedules for closing procedures.
Manage Banking/cash functions:
Initiate wire transfers.
Perform as an administrator on bank accounts.
Inquire/void/copy check issues.
MakeG/L entries for M-E and Y-E closings in ERP.
Perform cost accounting and cost analysis
Monitor oil purchases, consumption, and settlements accruals.
Develop/use ME inventory evaluations.
Provide cost information for newly developed products.
Maintain workflow of employees in the department.
Support all accounting functions, including Controller responsibilities, when needed.
Promulgate accounting principles to other disciplines when required.
Perform other duties/analysis as tasked by the Controller.
About you

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business administration
Five years g/l accounting experience
Five years manufacturing cost accounting experience
Excellent/ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience in commodities market preferred
CPA/ MBA preferred
Strong team player.
