About the role

The Accounting and Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, and compliance. This role ensures accurate financial management, maintains internal controls, and supports strategic decision-making by analyzing financial data. The manager also handles accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax filings while optimizing financial processes to support business growth. Ideal candidates have strong analytical skills, financial expertise, and experience in managing corporate finances efficiently.

What you'll do

Financial Management & Accounting

  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments
  • Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements in compliance with accounting standards
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial records
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for audits and compliance purposes

Budgeting & Reporting

  • Develop and monitor company budgets to ensure financial health and cost control
  • Generate financial reports and provide strategic insights to senior management
  • Track key financial metrics and recommend actions to improve profitability and efficiency
  • Assist with pricing strategies, cost analysis, and financial modeling

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations, including tax laws
  • Manage payroll, tax filings, and employee benefits administration
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions
  • Implement internal controls and financial policies to mitigate risks

Accounts Management & Business Operations

  • Handle financial aspects of customer contracts, including billing, invoicing, and collections
  • Work closely with vendors, suppliers, and partners to optimize financial agreements
  • Support business growth by managing financial aspects of new projects and contracts
  • Assist in the development of financial strategies to support corporate goals


Qualifications

Security Requirements

  • Due to the requirements of this position, candidates must be U.S. citizens AND
  • Possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a similar managerial role
  • Experience working in government contracting, defense, or technology industries is a plus

Certifications & Technical Skills

  • CPA, CMA, or other relevant financial certification is preferred
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial modeling

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams

The pay range for this position is between $160,000 and $190,000 per year. This position is benefits-eligible.
