The RoleThe position is part of a dedicated team of professionals responsible for all facets of the fund accounting, corporate finance, financial reporting and investor relations functions for two Business Development Companies ("BDCs"). Sixth Street Specialty Lending, Inc. ("SLX") is a publicly traded BDC listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol TSLX and Sixth Street Lending Partners ("SSLP") is a private BDC.
Core Responsibilities- Book investment activity in our internal accounting system (Advent Geneva)
- Reconcile cash activity between our internal accounting system and our Administrator (State Street)
- Assist in oversight of the accounting functions performed by our Administrator
- Assist with all accounting responsibilities within the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles
- Assist with production and review of quarterly and annual SEC filings (Form 10-Q, Form 10-K, Form 8-K, etc.)
- Gather info for financial statement and SOX audit requests/research questions from auditors
- Assist with preparation of various compliance reports (e.g., credit facility, BDC/RIC, etc.)
- Develop and maintain efficient internal controls and business processes
- Identify and help solve for critical accounting and reporting issues
- Interface as necessary with external auditors, internal auditors, and service providers

PreferredCandidates should ideally possess 2 to 5 years of accounting experience in a combination of public accounting, debt investments, fund administration, or another private equity or investment management firm. Familiarity with Advent Geveva, other general ledger systems, business development companies, bank loans, and fund administration are a plus.
CompensationThe base salary for this position is expected to be between $100,000-120,000. The base salary offered to the selected candidate will be commensurate with a candidate's relevant experience and other qualifications for the position, as determined by Sixth Street in its sole discretion.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and a competitive benefits package. Benefits offered currently include health, life, long-term and short-term disability insurance and a 401(k) plan. In addition, this role is eligible for paid public holidays (NYSE calendar), paid sick days pursuant to local laws, and additional reasonable time off subject to manager approval.
