Job Description:We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong accounting professional to support the Company's SEC reporting, technical accounting, quarterly and annual close, and external audit processes. This role will play an important part in preparing accurate and timely financial statements, disclosures, and SEC filings while partnering closely with Finance, Legal, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Investor Relations, and other cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, excellent analytical and organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality reporting, controls, and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
SEC & External Reporting
- Assist with the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual SEC reports, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K.
- Prepare and update financial statements, footnotes, and other disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Support preparation of other SEC filings, including Forms 8-K and registration statements, as applicable.
- Support preparation of quarterly earnings materials (e.g. earning press release, shareholder letter, etc.) and other external financial information, as needed.
- Prepare supporting schedules, tie-outs, disclosure checklists, and other documentation supporting SEC filings.
- Perform detailed tie-outs of financial statements and disclosures to the underlying general ledger, consolidation system, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and audit trails supporting reported amounts and disclosures.
- Assist with XBRL tagging and review, including coordination with external service providers.
- Monitor filing requirements and support the SEC reporting calendar to ensure all deadlines are met.
Technical Accounting
- Research U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements and document accounting conclusions as needed.
- Assist with the implementation of new accounting standards and related financial statement disclosures.
- Support technical accounting analyses involving areas such as: Business combinations, Stock-based compensation, Earnings per share, Equity transactions, and Investments and joint ventures.
- Monitor new accounting pronouncements and SEC developments and assess their potential impact on the Company's financial statements and disclosures.
- Benchmark financial statement disclosures against peer companies and SEC reporting practices.
Quarterly and Annual Close
- Support the quarterly and annual financial close process and ensure information required for external reporting is complete and accurate.
- Prepare and review financial statement supporting schedules.
- Investigate unusual fluctuations and coordinate with relevant accounting and finance teams to resolve reporting issues.
Audit & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors on SEC reporting and financial statement disclosure matters.
- Prepare audit support and respond to auditor requests related to financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules.
- Coordinate with Legal, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Investor Relations, Stock Administration, and other functions to gather and validate information for external reporting.
- Support management review, Disclosure Committee, and Audit Committee reporting processes.
Internal Controls & Process Improvement
- Perform control activities in accordance with established SOX controls.
- Maintain documentation supporting key financial reporting controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls, and efficiency.
- Assist with automation and standardization of financial reporting schedules and workpapers.
- Support improvements to reporting systems, consolidation processes, and financial data workflows.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
or equivalent relevant professional experience. - Min of five years of relevant accounting or financial reporting experience.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement presentation.
- Experience with quarterly and annual financial reporting processes.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across functional teams.
Preferred
- CPA or progress toward CPA certification.
- Public accounting experience, preferably with a Big Four or national accounting firm.
- SEC reporting experience with a publicly traded company.
- Experience preparing or reviewing Forms 10-K and 10-Q.
- Familiarity with SEC reporting and XBRL platforms such as Workiva.
- Experience with ERP and consolidation systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Experience researching accounting guidance using the FASB Accounting Standards Codification and SEC rules and regulations.

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related considerations. The annual target total cash compensation for this position is $115,000-$125,000, which includes base salary and target commission. Actual compensation may vary based on sales target achievements. This role is also eligible for equity as part of the total compensation package
