What you'll be doing…This position is responsible for oversight of the WCC’s Public Sector Account Management team’s management of the newly awarded Calnet contract. You will be ensuring oversight and compliance, and working with numerous stakeholders to help ensure we are not only meeting deliverables, but providing stellar customer support. You will provide expertise, vision, leadership, and project management for the implementation of transformational initiatives and operational efficiencies in how the Calnet customer is supported. This position has complete ownership of programs, processes and accountability for operational infrastructure through execution. This person will possess comprehensive knowledge of project management, segment functional work, VBG customer-facing tools & BGCO employee tools. This position will provide critical input to strategy development and ensure the operational implementation and execution are aligned with the Public Sector Account Management support.
Specific responsibilities include but not limited to:
Working with stakeholders to ensure Verizon’s response and compliance to exceeding deadlines set in the agreement to avoid financial penalty to the company
Working with numerous departments to ensure proper handling and reporting of Calnet accounts, finding improved work flows where applicable
Emergency Coordination with customers for Verizon’s response to CALNET state of emergencies, crisis, etc.
Provide consistent monthly presentations and reporting to the customer regarding network performance, billed summary data, cost, order content, etc
Aligning the initiatives to business unit strategy and prioritize project activities and coordinate resources to achieve project goals.
Creating a linkage between the sales support team and the internal teams to evolve the ways of working, improve the customer journey and create simpler experiences for the internal/external teams.
Managing operations teams to structure and solve business problems, collaborating and coordinating with a range of internal stakeholders.
Leading and motivating their team, providing guidance, performance feedback and coaching to ensure optimal performance.
Setting individual and team performance metrics, monitoring progress, identifying areas for improvement and addressing performance issues.
Identifying and developing high-potential talent within the team through succession planning.
Building concise presentations using sharp visuals to create clear and engaging presentations with tailored graphics that tell a compelling business story.
Developing action plans, secure owners, and ensure timeline deliverables are met.
Creating project plans, complete buy-in from all stakeholders, and develop tracking for all projects across the group.
Collaborating and having a flexible work approach to solve complex problems and to develop specific solutions - taking into account multiple internal and external stakeholder groups and different levels of stakeholder groups.
Applying strong communications capabilities to inspire and empower the organization to achieve BU strategy; provide guidance, counsel, and direction to all personnel as it relates to Business Unit strategy.
Keeping pace with advances and changes in all areas of the business, and taking advantage of those that will increase the company’s mission and profitability. Look for signals both inside and outside the company that could indicate threats to continued success or opportunities to grow the business.
Working with limited direction, usually within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations to senior management.
Supporting preparation of regular reporting of the business to management (monthly operational reports; other dashboards and memos).

Presenting to senior leadership / VBG leaders on behalf of the Public Sector Ordering and Strategic Support.

You'll need to have:Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Three or more years managing large-scale projects with multi-organizational stakeholders.
Strong working knowledge of WCC systems and processes .
Experience leading/managing multiple projects with measurable financial goals and various stakeholders.
Ability to work west coast hours regardless of employee location.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:Experience with state and local customers or contracts
VLSS Greenbelt or Blackbelt certifications.
Certified in Scrum, Agile, or Design Thinking methodologies.
Multi-level organization leadership.
Strong analytical experience.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
The annual salary range for the Maryland location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $93,000.00 - $162,000.00.
