Full Job Description
Job Purpose

Serve as frontline salesperson with responsibility for the execution of agreed sales and profitability targets within the assigned sales area. Will develop new business and support/expand the business with existing customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of automotive and industrial end users and distributor partners to execute the sales plan.
  • Generate leads and maintain customer pipeline.
  • Identify, develop, and close business opportunities with existing customers and new customers.
  • Monitor sales performance against agreed targets on a regular basis. Execute territory plans to achieve revenue and profitability objectives. Identify and implement remedial actions, as required.
  • Coordinate and provide consistent account support with technical, distribution, customer service, and other internal teams.
  • Collect, report and analyze customer feedback on current and future market trends.
  • Represent AkzoNobel professionally at customer meetings, industry events, demonstrations, and training activities.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or related field preferred. Experience will be considered in lieu of educational requirement.
  • 3 years' business-to-business, account management, or business development experience. Automotive collision-repair, vehicle-refinish, paint, coatings, or distribution experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop new business while maintaining strong existing customer relationships.
  • Must possess commercial and business acumen as well as an understanding of cross functional processes and financial concepts related to sales and cost to serve.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage stakeholders.
  • Effective problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to drive results.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to create value propositions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience using sales software and customer relationship management (CRM) software preferred.
  • Must be able to travel locally within the assigned territory on a daily basis. Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Rewards and Benefits

The salary range for these skills is $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 based upon experience. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.

This position is eligible for an annual bonus target of 35%, based on individual and company performance. This position is also eligible for a monthly vehicle allowance and mileage reimbursement.
