Full Job Description
Overall Scope:
Dover Fueling Solutions, one of the world's leading suppliers of fuel dispensers, payment terminals, forecourt control devices, point-of-sale and other measurement and control solutions to the retail and commercial fueling industry is seeking an Account Manager whose primary role is to manage customer relationships directly with internal departments such as sales, sales-engineering, product management, and service. This role is expected to manage customer expectations, align the organization to customer requirements, and support the commercial organization with appropriate business capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Cross Functional Collaboration:
• Partner closely with Sales, Sales-Engineering, Product Management, Engineering, Service and other cross functional extended teams coordinating related to specific customer sales opportunities or requirements, implemented to meet commercial goals.
• Ensure that key stakeholders are fully engaged in and aligned with the customer's expectations, progress, and emerging risks.
Project Management & Control:
• Drive accountability throughout the organization in meeting customer expectations.
• Develop and maintain strategic customer plans and status reports, engage cross-functional teams to provide needed analyses, direct customers to the appropriate products and solutions, and escalate issues to leadership.
• Flexible during times of change. Adjust to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, across the hierarchy, peers, and other functional teams.
• Identify and quantify commercial risks and initiate risk management plans to address such risks.
Business Acumen:
• Ability to hold others in the organization accountable to customer expectations.
• Understand the business imperative of the projects being led to effectively drive delivery.
• Manage the expectations of all stakeholders through transparent and proactive communications. Develop strategies to ensure that status, accomplishments, issues, and risks are communicated clearly. Facilitate effective and efficient forward-looking team meetings.
Technical Acumen:
• Understand the technical concepts within customer offerings.
• Collaborate with functions across the business to support customer product and solution requirements.
Candidate Experience and Qualifications:
• Strong collaborative and influencing skills.
• Bachelor's Degree required (Business or related field of study preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in sales, product or project management, or a related function working with technology products and/or services.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in the retail petroleum industry is a plus.
• Experience with complex customer environments and commercial channels.
Essential Functions:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills; comfortable facilitating and presenting to groups.
• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced team environment.
