Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Account Manager - Redi-Mix Concrete to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to engage directly with clients, support sales processes, and contribute to the growth of our business. What You'll Do:
  • Prepare customer quotes by providing accurate pricing information in accordance with the established pricing matrix, ensuring clarity on product quality and services offered.
  • Place orders with the appropriate departments and monitor the production and delivery process to ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key and target accounts to promote customer satisfaction, build business partnerships, and increase activity across commercial, residential, and utility sectors.
  • Collaborate with corporate management to plan business objectives, coordinate functions and operations between departments, and establish responsibilities and procedures to achieve organizational goals.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to maintain regular contact with customers within assigned territories, ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Troubleshoot customer complaints/problems regarding billing, quality, quantity, and service.
  • Provide efficient resolutions to instill customer satisfaction.
  • Assist the Billing and Credit departments in resolving account issues.
  • Actively participate in networking events and trade associations, and area chambers to promote Company products and services. Entertain customers to develop and enhance effective customer relations.
  • Assist customers and Quality Control in expediting required mix design submittals.
  • Perform project research and review concrete specifications to submit to quality control for verification and approval prior to bidding projects.
  • Develop an understanding and monitor the performance of each contractor in areas such as credit, pricing, delivery efficiency and purchasing habits. Assist the accounting department with billing issues and collections on customer accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years' construction industry experience, preferably in the target market.
  • Excellent people skills and customer-focused philosophy.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with people at all operations levels.
  • Must have experience in budget and goal preparation, contract negotiation and program development.
  • Computer proficiency to include Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Have good mathematics skills including use of feet, inches, and fractions.
  • Valid driver's license in state of residence.

Physical Demands:
  • Can kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, balance, bend, twist, reach, and feel.
  • Can sit, stand, walk, stoop, write, push, and pull.
