Purpose

As an Account Manager - Pennsylvania, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding BVI's presence across the assigned territory. You will develop and maintain strong relationships with ophthalmic surgeons, clinical teams, and healthcare organizations while identifying opportunities to introduce and expand BVI's portfolio. The role combines strategic territory management, consultative selling, clinical product support, and new business development across hospitals, ASCs, and private practice settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory strategy to achieve and exceed assigned sales targets across Pennsylvania.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with ophthalmic surgeons, clinical staff, purchasing teams, and other key decision-makers.
  • Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities while expanding BVI's presence within existing accounts.
  • Promote BVI's ophthalmic portfolio by communicating the clinical and commercial value of products to customers and end users.
  • Provide product demonstrations and clinical support within customer facilities, including operating room environments where appropriate.
  • Analyze territory performance, customer activity, sales data, and competitive intelligence to prioritize opportunities and guide account strategy.
  • Use CRM and other sales tools to effectively plan customer interactions, document activities, track opportunities, and maintain accurate account information.
  • Partner with Marketing, Clinical Affairs, Customer Service, Operations, and other BVI teams to deliver an effective customer experience and identify opportunities to expand the BVI portfolio.


Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of successful sales experience within healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or a related industry.
  • Experience selling to healthcare professionals, hospitals, ASCs, physician practices, or other healthcare organizations.
  • Ophthalmology experience is strongly preferred, particularly experience working with surgical products or technologies.
  • Demonstrated success in developing new business while growing and retaining existing customer accounts.
  • Strong consultative selling, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with surgeons, clinical staff, and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze sales data, manage territory priorities, and use CRM and other sales tools to drive effective account strategies.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout Pennsylvania, including occasional overnight travel, and to work in clinical and operating-room environments as required.
