Job Title: Account Manager
Job Location: 3933 US Route 11, Cortland, NY 13045
Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Duties: Manage retailer's inquiries on product testing, pricing, and lab capabilities of Intertek Global Labs. Identify prospective customers using business directories, leads from existing customers, or by participating in Industry events, conferences, and exhibitions. Contact current or prospective customers to pitch new services and arrange demonstrations to present the innovations in the offerings. Collaborate with retailers to finalize the business contracts and set their invoicing process with global Intertek labs. Consult retailers to resolve business challenges and provide continued support to address their needs. Collaborate with retailers on new product launches to advise on testing requirements, safety standards, and quality criteria. Perform administrative duties, including maintaining testing records, managing revenue details, and presenting them to retailers. Educate global lab teams regarding retailer's business updates. Monitor and work with Intertek global labs to ensure that all Retailer Products testing needs and procedures are met. Ensure laboratories perform testing under the Retailer's specified test methods and protocols, including turn-time requirements and reporting procedures. Coordinate global correlation programs between Retailer and Intertek global labs. Responsible for resolving correlation issues as they arise. Continually monitor lab turn times and monitor test volume on Retailer programs. Keep current on all regulatory, safety, and quality performance requirements and communicate relevant information to Retailer. Assist the Retailer on projects and assignments, such as systems updates and product and material development procedures. Train the Retailer's employees on such documents. Assist the Retailer with technical and safety presentations when needed. Coordinates and attends Retailer's seasonal product line reviews and participates in product development meetings to identify potential issues and contribute technical recommendations as requested. Provides technical assistance to assist and resolve technical issues. Track test/audit/inspection results as requested by the Retailer, including filing distribution, processing, and follow-up. This position requires 20% domestic travel. Remote work permitted.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering or a related field of study and 2 years of experience as a Textile Engineer, Quality Engineer, Textile Professional, or related role where required experience gained.
Also requires 2 years of experience in the following:
- Production and quality aspects of fabric & apparel/non-apparel
- Testing standards and functional textile and apparel
Salary: $93,600.00 per year
