Full Job Description
Reporting to the Account Team Lead, this role is responsible for supporting and guiding the positioning, messaging and channel strategies as well as all marketing communications assets and integrated communications plans for assigned Global Marketing franchise teams and corresponding products.

This is a hands-on global position responsible for managing all project requests through the Global Marcom process. Acts as a strategic partner to Global Marketing which includes supporting with value propositions, positioning and messaging, integrated communications strategies across target audiences (HCP, Patient, General Public, others), collateral creation, approval, channel strategies, dissemination and tradeshows. Works globally, liaising with partners across Smith+Nephew to ensure understanding of key market and customer factors and aligns communications approach and asset toolbox accordingly. Assets can include digital and print brochures, technique guides or surgical techniques, advertising, video, animations, digital assets and social media, among others. Collateral creation includes copywriting of headlines and body copy as well as storyboards. Acts as brand manager, ensuring S+N appropriate branding approach.

What will you be doing?

Align project priorities in line with business and franchise focus, needs and deadlines. Act as the liaison between the creative department, related departments and the client with regards to providing production schedules, critical milestones and general updates. Continuously interface with the Digital Asset Management to ensure projects follow the proper workflow and approval processes. Ensure accuracy and maintenance of literature inventory including online literature ordering system. Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and on budget.

Other responsibilities include:
  • Guide/lead Strategy, Positioning and Messaging planning and execution with marketing teams
  • Build global reach of the produced promotional assets
  • Facilitate briefings, reviews with internal staff and partners
  • Keep creative and production staff apprised of project priorities and due dates
  • Expedite "rush" projects while maintaining orderly flow of daily work
  • Ensure full approval of all collateral
  • Support distribution of collateral to relevant sources (integrated approach)
  • Recommend and implement process improvements
  • Keeps others informed of conflicts and delays
  • Obtain deadline extensions when necessary
  • Ensure timely release of all artwork with appropriate documentation to outside sources

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communication, PR, or closely related field


Experience
  • 5+ years in marketing communications, communications, PR, marketing or closely related field
  • Experience in a global organization or global exposure/experience preferred
  • Medical device marcom and agency background a plus
  • Digital communications experience a plus
  • Solid understanding of integrated marketing communications as a subject field including theoretical concepts
  • Omnichannel marketing with a focus on digital
  • Advanced project management skills
  • Stakeholder and agency management
  • Copywriting and creative understanding
  • Ability to work in a dynamic matrix organization

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $101,000 - $151,500 USD annually. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
