Full Job Description
A career as an Account Manager, Business Services Deposit in the Business Banking and Private Banking 1859 team means being responsible for growing an assigned portfolio of business clients. The variety and complexity of the role will allow you to quickly become a trusted advisor, guiding clients through their financial projects and strategic initiatives.

Your role
  • Identify and develop business opportunities within your market, expand your commercial client base, and implement strategies aimed at sustainable deposit growth while strengthening client relationships and portfolio revenues.
  • Achieve your clients' business objectives by proposing financial strategies based on an optimal mix of the Bank's products and services.
  • Ensure you meet clients' evolving needs by adapting and optimizing financial solutions and your advisory approach.
  • Negotiate agreement terms with clients while ensuring compliance with risk management standards and targeted profitability criteria.
  • Develop business development plans.
  • Support the Regional Vice-President, Business Services, in achieving business objectives.
  • Work closely with the Director, Financing Solutions.
  • Actively participate in networking activities (business events, conferences, receptions, etc.).
  • Identify risks inherent to the sector's activities.

Within the Business Banking and Private Banking 1859 sector, you will be part of a team of professionals dedicated to supporting commercial clients. You will also be surrounded by a broad ecosystem of experts who will help you deliver the most appropriate solutions to meet clients' needs.

Reporting to the Regional Vice-President, the position will be based in Ottawa. Our training programs, built on learning through action, will help you master your role. Prerequisites

Depending on your academic background, a minimum of four to eight years of experience in business development and sales within the financial services industry:
  • University Certificate and 8 years of experience
  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience
  • Master's Degree and 4 years of experience
  • Experience in sales and business development
  • Experience analyzing financial statements
  • Experience in commercial lending and credit analysis
