The Impact You'll Make

Danfoss is hiring for our next Account Manager, Construction. In this Account Manager role, you'll be at the forefront, driving our growth and strengthening relationships with strategic customers in the Construction Segment of the hydraulics industry. You will be their trusted partner and their voice within Danfoss, ensuring their needs directly influence our next wave of innovation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Drive profitable growth by identifying new opportunities and expanding our share of wallet within your customer accounts.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to introduce innovative Danfoss products, shaping the future of the construction segment
  • Build and nurture strong, lasting relationships with key stakeholders, becoming a trusted advisor and the true voice of the customer within Danfoss.
  • Act as a solution-oriented partner for your customers, using your technical knowledge to cross-sell and up-sell our diverse product offerings to meet their evolving needs.
  • Collaborate globally with internal sales, support, and business unit teams to deliver seamless and effective solutions that exceed customer expectations.


What We're Looking For

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience, with a strong understanding of hydraulics. A degree in Engineering or Business is a plus.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a technical sales or Account Manager role, ideally within the hydraulics, off-highway, or adjacent industry
  • A self-driven and resilient mindset, with a proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets in a competitive market.
  • Experience in account management, sales, or business development.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences and build trust at all levels including senior and c-level employees.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.


This is a remote position open to candidates based in the United States, preferably in Ames, Iowa or the Midwest region. This role requires the ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 40% of the time.
