Our Opportunity: Account ManagerStatus: Full Time Day Shift Hours: 8-hour shift Schedule: Monday - FridayCompensation: $75,000 - $95,000 per year depending on experienceSummaryThe Account Manager for Carolina Beverage Group manages the relationships with current and prospective commercial customers. This role is responsible for day-to-day activities and interactions with our customers to ensure that Carolina Beverage Group meets the needs of our customers, and our customers maintain their obligations to us. The successful candidate must be well-versed in beverage manufacturing processes and proficient in activities and communications relative to pricing, contracts, planning, manufacturing and logistics. The Account Manager will also play an important role in project management of both customer and internal projects and have regular interactions with key members of the external and internal teams, including collaboration with Finance, Quality and Planning, for regular transaction activity, projects and issue resolution. Additional responsibilities will include engagement in strategic and long-term planning activities.
This is an in-office position that can be based in either of our three locations.
What You Will Be Doing - Build, maintain, and create strong customer relationships across all parts of customer organization that interacts with Carolina Beverage
- Ensure customers' production requirements are understood and followed by the organization
- Ensure customers' production volumes are in accordance with any commitment from Carolina Beverage and that Carolina Beverage Group is likewise meeting requirements to customers
- Identify new opportunities with customers
- Establish and oversee internal budgets with the company and external budgets with the client
- Collaborate with internal management team to negotiate contracts with customers as needed; establish timeline of performance
- Collaborate with managers and team members from other departments dedicated to the same client account to ensure the highest quality of service and production is being provided
- Plan and present reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team members, stakeholders, and possible use in future case studies or company training
- Must work across various Carolina Beverage departments to assist, coordinate and lead customer activities such as new product development, order administration, forecasting and planning, production issues and changes, quality procedures and event management and post-production activities such as warehouse management, outbound logistics and accounts receivable
- Responsible for leading cross-functional teams, as needed, to best communicate and manage the needs of both the customer and Carolina Beverage group while ensuring that we maximize the objectives of the organization including stakeholder safety, food quality and safety and profitable growth
- Lead or assist with customer visits to Carolina Beverage Group manufacturing facilities, as needed
- Visit customer as needed for either project activities or to maintain or build relationships
- Communicate on daily basis w/ SVP Commercial Sales regarding current activities and issues with customers
- Handle customer inquiries regarding product info, planning, production, warehouse and new activities
- Compile weekly and monthly commercial and customer reports as needed
- Work with other parts of the organization as needed to assist with communication to customers and partners
- Back up other Account Manager(s)/the Commercial team as needed
- Other duties may be assigned
What You Need to Bring - Education: Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent job-related experience) with a focus on food or beverage manufacturing processes, marketing or finance is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years sales or similar account management experience is strongly preferred.
Experience/working knowledge of food and/or beverage manufacturing processes, including processing, filling and packaging, to best support needs of customer and the company is preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills including strong presentation capability
- Ability to understand the consumer beverage market along with how to sell our products into this market on a profitable basis
- Strong project management experience
- Ambitious and ability to lead, direct and hold people accountable
- Display loyalty and enthusiasm for this position and the company, both at work and in the community
- Willingly to help in all areas of the operation, taking the initiative to help others with workloads as needed
- Accept changing conditions and situations in work responsibilities
- Ability to deal with frustration and anger in a mature professional manner
- Able to travel occasionally as needed
Job Setting This role is based in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Employees will experience varying physical demands throughout the day, including standing for extended periods, walking on occasionally slippery floors, and handling equipment or materials.
Due to the nature of the facility, temperatures may fluctuate based on outside weather conditions including heat and cold.
The work environment can be loud, and hearing protection (ear plugs) is required. Additionally, to ensure safety and hygiene, employees must wear hairnets and refrain from wearing jewelry while on the production floor.
