As a Beauty Care Solutions (BCS) Account Manager, you will be instrumental in driving profitable growth by building strong strategic partnerships with key customers, translating their needs into differentiated active ingredients offers and managing the entire Order To Cash process. Working closely with Sales, Product Management, R&D, and Technical Service, you will contribute directly to customer success and long-term portfolio expansion.
Candidates based near Florham Park, NJ have the option to work on-site for collaboration as needed.
As an Account Manager - Beauty Care Solutions, you create chemistry by...- Leading and developing strategic customer relationships for our actives business, acting as the key interface between customers and BASF across technical and commercial topics.
- Defining and executing account strategies for BCS, including growth roadmaps, innovation pipelines, and value creation initiatives aligned with customer and BASF priorities.
- Negotiating pricing, contracts, and commercial terms for BCS portfolio in line with company strategy and governance, ensuring smooth customer service across the OTC process.
- Identifying, qualifying, and driving new business opportunities, including product qualifications, and technical evaluations at customer sites.
- Monitoring market trends, competitive activities, and customer strategies to anticipate opportunities and support account planning.
- Ensuring structured communication and documentation of customer insights, project progress, and technical learnings internally.
If you...- Hold a bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, or related field; skin biology, botanical and cosmetics knowledges are a plus. Advanced degree is preferred.
- Preferrably bring 5 years of experience in a sales or technical customer-facing role-ideally within personal care.
- Have proven ability to manage complex customer accounts, influence decision-makers, and lead technical projects from concept to commercialization.
- Possess excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into customer-friendly language.
- Are willing to travel to customer sites, manufacturing locations, and regional hubs as required (~50%).
