Full Job Description
As an Account Manager supporting our Automotive Coatings business, you will play a critical role in managing and strengthening relationships with key customers while driving profitable growth across a dynamic and evolving industry. Reporting to the Tiers Commercial Manager, you will work remotely in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute account strategies for global accounts and develop strategic plans for regional accounts aligned with overall business and marketing objectives.
  • Lead regional pricing discussions and contract negotiations to drive profitable growth and strengthen customer partnerships.
  • Manage demand forecasting activities, monitor sales pipelines, and identify opportunities to increase market share and revenue growth.
  • Track and communicate developments at local customer sites to support business objectives and maintain account visibility.
  • Identify, assess, and communicate customer opportunities, market trends, potential threats, and emerging business needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across customer organizations while gathering and leveraging customer feedback to enhance engagement and value delivery.
  • Actively contribute to account planning, strategy development, and cross-functional account team discussions.
  • Partner with local Optima Service teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and support successful account management.
  • Develop and implement strategies that increase adoption and sales of PPG's preferred products within customer accounts.
  • Through PPG's Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR) program, you'll have the flexibility to drive your own vehicle while receiving tax-advantaged reimbursement for fuel, insurance, and other eligible business-related vehicle expenses. The program is designed to provide a convenient, cost-effective alternative to a company vehicle while giving you greater choice and flexibility.


Qualifications
  • 6 or more years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related discipline.
  • Experience with large OEM's and/or Tiers suppliers and coatings technologies.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Proven communication capabilities required to effectively manage complex and dynamic situations.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain automobile insurance, have access to a personal vehicle that meets PPG's Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR) program requirements, and successfully pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
  • May be located in Western Michigan, Western Ontario or greater Nashville area.

The base salary range for this position is $115,000 to $145,000, with a possibility of a sales incentive bonus based on performance. PPG offers comprehensive benefits such as Health, Dental, Life, Retirement Plan, Paid Vacation & Holidays, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Disability/Leave, and other Voluntary benefit offerings. Actual benefit offerings confirmed at the time of hire.
