Job Title: Account ManagerJob DescriptionThe Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and growing key customer relationships in the Aerospace and Defense Market, acting as the primary point of contact between the company and the client to ensure customer satisfaction and successful program management. This role requires a technical background and a strong desire to serve the customer, with responsibilities spanning from managing the quotation process for new parts to supporting and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities- Act as the primary point of contact for all customer requests.
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of customer business and market trends.
- Manage the quotation process for new parts.
- Coordinate with the Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to ensure timely and successful launch of new customer projects.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Operations, and Quality teams to maintain long-term profitability, address customer concerns, and increase customer satisfaction.
- Utilize the CRM database to maintain accurate contact, account, opportunity, and complaint records.
- Use the ERP system to enter, manage, and track customer orders.
- Conduct periodic virtual or in-person meetings to determine requirements of new opportunities and provide status updates.
- Prepare quarterly and annual sales forecasts to support company profit planning.
- Support and contribute to organizational and customer-focused continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge of industry trends through attendance at vendor meetings and industry trade shows.
Essential Skills- Proficiency in sales, customer service, and account management.
- Strong skills in sales support, data entry, and administrative support.
- Experience in order processing and customer service orientation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with order entry and inside sales.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field from an accredited institution.
- 3-5 years of experience in the industry or position with a track record of achieving results.
- Understanding of the Aerospace and Defense procurement process including regulations.
Work EnvironmentWork is performed in an office environment, requiring the ability to work as part of a team or independently with limited supervision. The role involves up to 10% travel.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of North Ridgeville, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
